All the way from NYC to ADL: Badgley Mischka bridal collection launch

Whenever someone mentions weddings, we always become super excited! Last Friday night we spent the cool winter evening at Jenny & Gerry’s Bridal Centre celebrating the launch of their fabulous new collection of Badgley Mischka gowns.

The event was spectacular in every way; the staircase leading to the bridal centre was aligned with white artificial roses and delicious desserts from The Bake Space filled a table in the gallery room.Β  As guests sipped on bubbly champagne and chatter filled the air, three models began to showcase the gorgeous new collection.

All the dresses showcased had their own distinct style and differed in certain ways. The first of the set of three was sleek and had detailed needle work at the back of the dress that ran down the backbone. It was well fit and flared slightly from the knee onwards, creating a gorgeous medium length train.

It seems that a current trend is shoulder veils, which are stylishly elegant and act as something different to choose from. The second sample dress had a silver detailing that was made in the perfect shape to suit the shoulder veil.

The third dress was certainly the ultimate fairytale princess style for those that adore layered wedding gowns. Similarly to the first two dresses the bust was detailed in pearl-like beads though had a distinct bow at the back.

As guests, fashion bloggers, photographers and business owners took countless images of the dresses in admiration, the second gown viewing was only a few minutes away. In the mean time, everyone seemed be in a constant awe from the collection and delicious cupcakes.

The second set of dresses seemed to have a greater reaction from guests than the first, possibly due to the sparkly reflection they had from the incredible detailing.

Perhaps our favourite dress of the evening was a slick and elegant corset dress that was heavily detailed with white beads with a mixture of nude and white material. I thought the dress was modern from the body of the gown and classical from the lace train that fell behind.

We were very proud to launch the new range from Badgley Mischka bridal and bring them right off the NYC runway and into our very own Adelaide based store at Jenny & Gerry’s
