The movement to the cooler Autumn season brings about vibrant new colours in store windows and into wardrobes. Earlier in the week, Everything Adelaide was invited by Grays PR to attend the Rundle Place Autumn/Winter 2017 launch featuring creative director of the Adelaide Fashion Festival, Chris Kontos, and director of Paolo Sebastian, Paul Vasileff. The VIP event treated the stylish guests to a Parisian breakfast of assorted sweet and savory bite-size treats along with juice, coffee or champagne.
Not only did the event focus on style trends for the new season but also the current competition that is running. Simply spend $100 or more for the chance to win the ultimate trip for two to Paris including $3,000 spending money, a $1,000 winter wardrobe and an exclusive viewing of the Paolo Sebastian showroom. Second and third prizes are also available.
In true spirits of a fashion event, a short and simple fashion parade took place that highlighted this season’s latest trends from stores within Rundle Place. Four organisations were featured, each presenting a different look.
The first was an emerald green colour tone look from Country Road with a knee-length skirt with a matching jacket.
‘It’s amazing how colours can determine a season, and this is definite a highlight with this outfit’, said Kontos.
The following men’s outfit from Ted Baker also featured a dark green scarf that complimented the hazel suit. Vasileff also mentioned the convenience of high-end mens and womens fashion being all in the one location of Rundle Place for those who have little time to shop around.
‘You can be in and out within an hour or even half an hour, and I think that’s what makes us really lucky here in Adelaide’, he said.
Up next was Kookai for those wanting to express their inner urban city girl. The outfit featured a nicely tailored black jacket, red skirt with black heel-less boots. You can never really go wrong pairing red and black together, which is one of our personal favourite styles.
As we head into winter, everyone needs a good coat – enter Witchery. In an all grey attire with silver boots, grey and white shirt, coat, simple black skirt and a beanie to top it off, we absolutely adored this look.
Thanks again to Rundle Place and Grays PR for organising the event.
