This Saturday night (April 16th), one of Adelaide’s fresh, new bars, Lindes Lane, will be celebrating their first birthday! Right from the get-go the party will begin at 7:30am and will run late into the night. Hidden down one of Rundle Mall’s side alleys, the cafe and wine bar offers more than the casual Adelaide street bar. From food and drink specials, popular tracks playing throughout the day and free giveaways, this is definitely a party you do not want to miss!
Teaming up to celebrate, Lindes and Crackle & Pop Records will be providing old and rare records to purchase from 8am. In honour of World Record day, this will be an excellent opportunity to get your hands on some old school, vintage vinyls. While your record shopping senses are buzzing, DJs from FreshFM will be providing the laneway beats and bangers from 11am.
As for food, Lindes has you covered with a delicious breakfast menu available until late afternoon as well as gourmet lunch and dinner dishes. Drink specials will be available all day with the favourite Espresso Martini for $15 or Sangria. Proud sponsors, Priate Life Brewers, will also be providing their three different types of beer for guests to try.
The hidden basement bar, Barlow, will also be on show for those that can find it. If and when you do though, it’s an incredible and overwhelming feeling of excitement. While the goal for any bar is to be in a popular, crowded location, Barlow’s aims are quite the opposite. With the cocktail lounge hidden beneath Lindes, this gives finders the opportunity to escape Adelaide and experience an antique looking wine bar that’s filled with soft music and dim lighting. Though Barlow is often a quiet spot to enjoy a glass of red, this may not be the case on Saturday night.
Be sure to also check out the Lindes Lane of Instagram to enter the competition where you have to change to with a slab of beer from Pirate Life. For more information head to the Facebook event page.
The day and evening will be one full of impulse record purchases and possibly too much wine. It will be a chance for those who haven’t been to Lindes Lane to experience it all, and I know you won’t be disappointed. Bring your friends, drink responsibly and we’ll see you there!
