A weekend of wins for Adelaide Bite

Over the last four days, Adelaide’s professional baseball team Adelaide Bite have been battling it out against Canberra Cavalry to secure a place in the playoff finals next weekend.

Unlike today’s game that was somewhat relaxed with a few edgy moments, Thursday’s game was full of adrenaline and motivation between both teams who wanted the spot in the playoffs. Our Bites dominated Thursday night winning 13-7 which lead to another two wins for the rest of the weekend and one loss with 2-3.

After a disappointing loss at last season’s playoffs against the Perth Heat, the team aim to redeem themselves and go for gold to win the Australian Baseball League (ABL) Claxton Shield.

Earlier this week, coach Steve Mintz said in an interview with Lifefm’s summer broadcast drive team Caz and Liam that the boys prepare for games well by supporting one another rather than strategical methods.

The team is set to play one preliminary home game at Norwood oval this Friday night.
